A fun day of discovering how to use silk paints!
This workshop uses non-toxic, heat-set Australian made silk paints that are suitable for use by adults and children alike on any type of fabric.
Skills taught will include:
- Mixing paints, Determining paint spread on different materials
- Different methods of applying colour, Dropper technique, Using a spray bottle, Using a five finger brush, Using a foam brush,
- Salting,
- Using the correct amount of paint, Drying and setting
During the workshop, you will create your very own silk scarf to take home.
Beginner’s class includes all necessary tools, use of paints, fabric sample swatches and one silk scarf.
One day class 9:30 – 4:30 (includes morning tea and lunch) Minimum two, maximum four people per class.
