Introduction One Day Workshop

NOTE: Artisans Retreat modified lathe stand enables turning while seated eg Wheelchair!

Topics covered include:

• General workshop safety
• Lathe safety and operation
• Wood preparation
• Tool usage
• Basic spindle and faceplate turning techniques
• Shaping, sanding and finishing

Cost: $195 per person

Includes: Timbers (one for spindle practice, one bowl blank), use of all tools, sanding and finishing materials, relevant safety equipment and lunch.

Numbers are limited so that each participant has use of a lathe for the whole day.

Introduction Two Day Workshop - $350 per person

NOTE: The 2 days need not be consecutive.

Topics covered are as for One Day workshop, plus:

• Bandsaw safety & operation
• Tool sharpening

Cost: $350 per person

Includes: Timbers (one for spindle practice, two bowl blanks), use of all tools, sanding and finishing materials, relevant safety equipment and lunch.

Numbers are limited so that each participant has use of a lathe for the entire workshop.
